3.       2011 Dick Civita’s Sandbagger of the Year Award – Carlos Coleman

*        2^nd and Repeat winner of this prestigious award

*        Has been our most consistent Bagger to date

*        His Finishes in the Net events:

o         Finished 1^st in Men’s Net Championship

o         Finished 2nd in Senior Club Championship – 1^st flight

o         His handicap – was in beginning of year 12.3 – 10.1 green tees

o         Involvement at Membership Functions / Good relationship with staff

*        In only his 2^nd year with the Club – he was elected President of Men’s Association. He ran a successful Men’s Member- Guest. He oversaw the weekly gaggles and numerous tournaments - He worked hard behind the scenes with the Professional Staff.

*        He has been an ambassador to the Club And a Great leader with the membership

*        I am privileged to know him and appreciate all his hard work!

Arlene Zamora is the 2011 Player of the Year!

Congratulations to Player of the Year Arlene Zamora who wins a FREE 2012 Full Individual Membership! Arlene's consistent play and great game earned her 3,750 points for the year. Bob Webb finished in 2nd place with 3,300 points followed by Wendy Webb who had 3,000 points and finished in 3rd place.

Arlene Zamora Takes DWGA Women's Senior Champion Title!

Congratulations to our own Arlene Zamora for winning the Delaware Women's Golf Association Women's Senior Championship!  Congrats also to Susan Eichler for winning first gross and Joan Martin for winning first net in their flights!

Harshad Desai Makes 2 Hole-in-Ones Same Week, Same Hole!

Congratulations to CBGC member Harshad Desai for incredibly hitting two Hole-in-Ones during the same week at Great Hills Country Club in Austin Texas where he was playing in a Member/Guest tourney! He had his first on Thursday 9/8 and the second, on the very same hole, on Saturday 9/10. The Par 3 played 155 yards with two different pin locations. Both Hole-in-Ones were made using a very well struck 6 iron!

*National Father & Son Team Classic, July 21-23, @ Myrtle Beach

Congratulations to our own Pepper and Chuck Martin for winning gross with a 219 and net with a 193 in their flight in the National Father & Son Team Classic ~ the largest father-son event in the world! Nine out of the 14 years they have played, they have won gross or net crystal in their flight. The first day they played best ball of the two, second day was alternate shots and the third day was a scramble. Awesome job guys!

Congratulations to Linda French and Wendy Webb.  They pulled out a one stroke victory over the Joan & Tracie Martin Team. Wendy carried their team most of the second day with Linda French coming through with a big par on the18th hole. Getting two "pops" on this hole meant an eagle and a victory for the Webb/French Team. Great playing!
